When kids started dropping out of sport, physical education and physical activities,
I began to research ‘why?’ I realised the problem was bigger than I thought... It’s not just young people but us oldies too!
I help coaches, teachers, and trainers move beyond drills and reps — into real learning, connection, and transformation.

My Background
I’m a PE teacher, coach educator, and consultant with more than 30 years of experience working across schools, clubs, academies, and sporting organisations. Before COVID, I travelled widely as an international presenter and consultant, helping coaches and teachers rethink how they engage learners.
I’m also the creator of the YouTube channel Gunn Engagement, which has supported thousands of coaches with practical, real-world pedagogy. Alongside my teaching and coaching work, I hold ICF coaching qualifications and have built several large, active professional communities for educators and coaches.
My specialty sits at the intersection of engagement, behaviour, motivation, pedagogy, and youth development — always delivered with a mix of alternative thinking, humour, and grounded, practical wisdom.
