The Real Prize: Grassroots Leadership!

Hello fellow adult learners and peers.

I love my teaching and learning peers from around the World BUT…

As we draw to the end of the year, I hope that we all can remember just how important the GRASSROOTS are? I direct you now to previous posts of mine here and elsewhere that show you that I too can have a strong opinion…

However, my political provocations are still aimed at GRASSROOTS improvement in PE and Sports in regard to a ‘re-think of the influence of the MAN’ (thanks Jack Black). This means: The system of government, education, big sports etc that, in the West, often thwart genuine motivations to improve outcomes for young people.

Case in point:… I got involved in social media because I thought it helped coaches and teachers. This seemed true after the great South Australian, Shane Pill, helped me with this in November 2016 . Thus, I got active in December 2016 on Facebook, and, Twitter late 2017.

However, the minimal interaction I have on Twitter in particular seem to be forgetting the BIGGER Prize = Grassroots’ love! Allow me to help through Grassroots’ Rugby development movements in Sierra Leone for perspective?

(Psst…) From here on in I will just let the pictures do the talking:

Finally, ‘call to action’!

Brothers’ Rugby Club in Brisbane is donating $500 in exchange for a ‘Gunny’ session, with all proceeds going to Sierra Leone.

Any other clubs want to donate??? I will not disappoint as a coach and teacher!

Learning,

Gunny
